In 2019 I was struggling badly with insomnia. I tried almost everything — retreats, PEMF, supplements, meditation, every book and podcast on sleep I could find. Then, on an American sleep podcast, someone briefly mentioned Hyperbaric Oxygen. The nearest chamber was over an hour from Cambridge.
I was sceptical, but curious enough to try it. After a 90-minute session I slept noticeably better that night. I didn't want to jump to conclusions — so I went back the next week. Same again.
It didn't make me think I'd found a magic answer. It made me curious. Why was this technology so hard to access? Why so expensive? And why were people left to figure it out alone? Answering them became Oxydise.
Three things that are true of Oxydise and not of a reseller.

The chambers, the panels and the HBOT OS software are developed here, with a manufacturing partner we work with directly.
UK delivery, training on the day and OxyCare servicing afterwards. The same team, for years, not just for delivery day.
From choosing the right system to long after installation, the same Oxydise team supports you throughout.

OxyCare combines servicing, maintenance and a real team to call.
Twenty years of engineering experience in Cambridge, and a manufacturing partner we develop with directly. Every system is reworked around how it performs in real homes and clinics, session after session. Nothing we supply is simply sourced.
A chamber is only as good as the oxygen it actually delivers, session after session.
The concentrator, breathing circuit and setup all shape what you actually breathe, not the number on the box.
Comfortable, consistent pressure is what makes people keep using it. Unstable pressure is why chambers end up unused.
Compressor noise, airflow and temperature inside decide whether a chamber fits into a normal evening at home.
Designed so it can be maintained and improved in place, for years, not replaced when one part fails.
With Red Light the whole argument is output, the right wavelengths, actually delivered where you sit.
We work with Professor Glen Jeffery at UCL to understand how red and near infrared light actually works in the body, and we build that into our systems. That is why they run eight wavelengths, each at a set power.
The right wavelengths at the right output, measured, not quoted from a supplier's datasheet.
What reaches you at real treatment distance, and how evenly it lands across the panel rather than only at the centre.
Good heat control keeps output consistent through a long session instead of drifting as the panel warms.
LED arrays and drivers that can be serviced and upgraded, rather than a sealed unit you throw away.
The people you'll actually speak to, from the first call to installation and beyond.
Book a session at an Oxydise wellness lab and test the equipment for yourself — try before you buy, with the team on hand.
The honest answers Edward gives on every call — even when they cost us a sale.
Higher pressure is a stronger dose, not a better one. The right dose depends on your goal, and for many people the smaller, gentler chamber is the correct recommendation. We'll tell you when it is.
These technologies work through consistency: regular sessions over weeks, not a single dramatic hour. If your routine can't fit that, we'd rather you knew before you spent anything.
There are genuine contraindications, and we screen for them before anything progresses. If it's not suitable for you, or a simpler first step makes more sense, we'll say so.
Renting first is often the smarter route, and rent-to-buy means those payments can count towards ownership. A company that needs to sell you a chamber today won't lead with that.
Photos don't show oxygen delivery, pressure stability, serviceability or the training and support behind the equipment. That's where the real differences live, and why we engineer and install ours ourselves.
Run a conventional concentrator back to back and heat and moisture degrade its zeolite sieve beds, so purity drops over the months and no certificate warns you. Ours are co-developed with hospital oxygen manufacturers for sustained use, and we still tell you the detail most suppliers skip: give a conventional unit twenty minutes between sessions.
A BIBS mask gives a couple of per cent more oxygen and fights your face for it. Our labs taught us comfort decides whether people finish 40 to 60 session programmes, so the comfortable mask is our default and BIBS stays on the options list.
Edward helps home and business customers understand the technology, work through their options and make informed decisions from their first enquiry onwards.
I spend most of my time speaking with people who are exploring our technology, whether that’s someone looking at a system for home use or a clinic, gym or wellness business considering a commercial setup. My role is really about understanding what they’re trying to achieve, giving clear and evidence-informed guidance, helping them work through the options, and supporting the decision-making process from first enquiry onwards.
The people, without question. There’s a huge amount of passion and kindness across the team, and everyone brings something different to the table. We’ve got such a diverse mix of backgrounds and skills, but there’s a genuine shared desire to do things properly and make a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
I’m fascinated by how adaptable the human body is. We all have this huge amount of physiological potential sitting beneath the surface, and I find it incredibly interesting that technologies like Hyperbaric Oxygen and Red Light Therapy can help support, restore or augment some of those underlying processes.
I love learning, probably to an obsessive degree. If a customer comes to me with a condition or technical question I don’t know, I struggle to leave it there until I’ve worked it out.
I’ve got a research background and I’m still completing my doctorate, so I naturally gravitate towards digging into the literature, looking for signals and trying to find logical answers. There’s very little guesswork with me.
Usually one of three things: outdoor adventures with my young family, working on my PhD, or being the last person getting kicked out of the climbing centre at closing time.
“Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.” — Carl Sagan
And probably not a guilty pleasure, but my taste in music is all over the place. A normal playlist can jump from UK drill, grime and West Coast rap to trance, classical piano, rock, 80s disco, 90s/00s R&B, and early dubstep without any transition.
Consultations & Customer Guidance
Alan works across product development, quality control, strategic growth and key relationships with athletes, partners and high-performance customers.
I’m one of the founders of Oxydise, so my role is quite varied. A big part of what I do is identifying technological innovations and opportunities to expand into new markets. I’m also heavily involved in product development and quality control, from new systems like our upcoming sitting hyperbaric chamber to smaller details like LED quality and component performance. The other major side is building relationships with athletes, influencers, celebrities and high performers.
Genuinely, the people. I love the team we’ve built, but I also love the people we work with. On one side, clients dealing with chronic illness who are incredibly resilient, and on the other, elite athletes using the technology to gain an edge. These technologies genuinely change lives. They certainly changed mine. It’s also surreal sometimes having world-class athletes or well-known public figures message you directly wanting to work together.
For me, it’s the impact. There’s a Steve Jobs speech at Stanford where he talks about how people don’t realise that if you push on the world, you can actually change it. That’s probably the biggest thing this business has taught me. We’ve had clients dealing with cancer who were previously exhausted, then suddenly they’re back training in the gym, feeling optimistic again. Then on the other side, top-level athletes thanking you because they recover faster or perform better. That combination of human impact, performance and innovation is what fascinates me most.
I’m deeply curious by nature. A lot of what I do behind the scenes is researching cutting-edge developments in health, wellness, psychology and human performance. I read obsessively and I’m always trying to challenge my own assumptions. At the moment I’m reading The Experience Machine, which explores how our minds construct reality. The more I learn, the more I realise how little I actually know.
Reading, travelling and challenging myself physically. I recently went to Japan, and over the next year I’m hoping to spend time in Tanzania and Kenya, plus a three-week jungle tour through the Amazon. I also enjoy difficult physical challenges. I recently completed a ski erg marathon in 3 hours and 52 minutes after only a couple of weeks of preparation. I think there’s huge value in deliberately doing difficult things; it builds resilience before you actually need it.

Olga keeps deliveries, collections, logistics, CRM and accounting running smoothly, so the customer journey never snags.
I work in operations at Oxydise, so I help keep things organised behind the scenes. My day-to-day usually involves arranging deliveries and collections, sorting logistics, working with CRM and accounting, and generally helping the team and our clients with different requests.
Our incredible team and clients. We are passionate about what we do, supportive of each other, and always willing to help. Seeing the difference our work can make for clients is so rewarding. It’s nice to be part of something that can genuinely have such a meaningful impact.
Seeing how much our work can change things for our clients. Being part of something that has such a real impact on people’s wellbeing is what makes it feel worthwhile.
I’m always up for trying something new. I’ve recently started playing the piano and dancing bachata, which has been really challenging, but fun as well.
I’m passionate about travelling and foreign languages, so I’m often planning a trip or picking up new vocabulary. I also love a good book, a good movie and a bit of quiet time to recharge.
Guilty pleasure: food in all forms, but most of all East Asian food.
Operations
Petro keeps the equipment and the processes behind it running, hands-on across engineering and maintenance.
At Oxydise, I work across engineering, maintenance, logistics and general operations, helping keep everything running smoothly day-to-day. My role is very hands-on and varied, from maintaining equipment and solving technical issues to supporting the team wherever needed.
The people and the positive environment. It’s rewarding to be part of a business that focuses on helping people improve their health, recovery and overall wellbeing.
I’m particularly interested in recovery and performance, especially how technology and consistent healthy habits can support people’s quality of life.
I’m very curious by nature and always enjoy learning new things, especially about cars, technology and how different systems work. I also enjoy buying, repairing and working on cars in my spare time.
Usually training at home, reading, spending time with family, or doing something car-related.
Ralph Waldo Emerson’s “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Food: borsch, a traditional Ukrainian beetroot soup. Hobby: cars. Guilty pleasure: chocolate.
Engineering, Maintenance & Operations
Paolo brings chambers to homes and clinics across the UK and Europe, and makes sure everything is set up properly before he leaves.
Here at Oxydise, I work as a driver and installer of hyperbaric chambers across the UK and Europe. Besides installations, I’m also responsible for maintenance, logistics and stock management. Every day brings something different, whether it’s setting up a chamber in a clinic, troubleshooting an issue on-site, or making sure our equipment is where it needs to be.
The work itself and the incredible team around me. We share the same mindset, support one another, and above all, I love building relationships with our clients. I’m truly happy to see how much Oxydise has grown, and I’m proud to be part of that journey and success.
When I first joined Oxydise, I knew nothing about hyperbaric chambers. I started researching, studying and learning as much as I could. The most rewarding part of this job is seeing how supported customers feel when they start to understand the technology and use it with confidence. I have countless emotional stories from this work. Sometimes people hug me and remember the words of encouragement I gave them, and honestly, it can bring tears to my eyes.
By nature, I’m a very emotional person, but I’m also extremely hardworking. I truly love what I do. I consider myself honest, loyal and always willing to help others whenever I can.
I enjoy relaxing whenever I have time, spending quality time with my family, taking quick trips to the beach and discovering new places.
I’m passionate about good food, especially francesinha, codfish dishes and a great steak. And of course, I love watching football.
